It has one of the best combat systems in the series and the story is one of the best if not the best in the series.Saints Row: FULL Walkthrough No Commentary Gameplay Many twists and turns and many of them are really funny.ĭefinetly give it a go when you get the chance. The sub stories return and some of them are encountered like 0 but there are some where they are side cases and people come to you for help. There are also a lot of returning mini games from 0 like the gambling ones. There are also a bunch more like expanded mahjong (best in the series), drone racing where you race other drones throughout kamurocho and batting center. It has Virtua Fighter 5, Motor Raid (a classic 3D racing game that sega never released on home consoles before), a house of the dead like game that uses assets from the zombie spin off and a bunch more games that returned from Yakuza 0. The arcade is the best one in the series. A particular favorite of mine is a Mario Party like VR game where you have a bunch of challenges that uses the gameplay of Judgment in really cool ways. So now my question is, does every game have long, addictive mini-game side quests like the businesses in 0? If so, I’m not finishing them in this lifetime.Ĭlick to shrink. It has a lot of fun ones but many of them don't have story lines like 0. It’s no wonder they went with turn-based combat in 7. At first I saw these games as melodramatic Japanese drama beat em ups, but it’s clear to me now that these are full blown RPGs. The same thing happened in Kiwami 1, but to a lesser extent because it was just the RC car stuff, some Majima Everywhere, the colosseum, and the hostess dating sim thing. I’m definitely enjoying it but it’s also frustrating because the story is genuinely really good so far. And I know I still have that RC car side quest to do later. Repeat with Majima’s business where it’s not even passive like Kiryu’s. This telephone club has jack shit to do with anything but it’s too bizarre to ignore, so let me do that. This cop looks like he might be able to join my security team so I should probably do his side quests. I start buying every business I can with Kiryu, but wait this one has a friendship tied to it. Then they introduce the businesses and my life is just consumed by them. Then bowling had a friendship attached to it so I did that. Pretty fun mini game so I decided to do all of its side quests. Some were stinkers like that annoying little Yakuza boss kid. First it was just the occasional side quest here and there which weren’t all hits. Something always grinds my story progress to a halt. I’m like almost 40 hours into the game at this point and I’m still only on Chapter 8.
